Notes: In "The Forest", I used a new program based on Apple's concept of the "Ken Burns effect". A short, horror film was created using an application called Still Life and an image from Apple's screen saver package called Forest03. The relationships between between sound effects and visual effects are explored to create a unique short film. The reference to "A Screen Saver Film" is not that this film is to be used as a screen saver. I used a screen saver picture from Apple's OS X collection to make this movie. This short uses just one frame and a lot of sound to communicate its erie theme.
