Notes: This film was one of my first using HD. I bought a Flip Ultra HD and began to explore using this new format. Ironically, one of the first effects I used was one to soften the high definition of the video. The Flip and other cameras like it are great because of the quick access to the footage. The older style SD cameras use a DV cartridge which takes as much time to offload as it did to shoot it. The delay was a pain and working with a electromechanical device was tedious. This film used iMovie 09 as well. One of the nice improvements in this version of iMovie was the ready access to affects. I used more in this film than normal. I wanted to create a more artistic feel to the film.
